I am a year 3 medical student and the President of the School of Medicine and Dentistry. Motivated by my interest in orthopaedic surgery, I am organising this conference aimed at fostering collaboration, disseminating knowledge, and innovation in the field. Through this endeavour, I aspire to enhance interest in orthopaedic surgercy on a global scale by facilitating the exchange of ideas among esteemed colleagues and dedicated enthusiasts.

Hey Everyone. I am Vishal Chandanani, a final year medical student, the current Chair of the Surgical Society. As a former School President, organising a conference at UCLan is something I was always working towards and finally have gotten this opportunity to do so. I have a keen interest in Orthopaedic surgery particularly in Sports Medicine. Through organising OrthoCon'24, we aim to provide opportunities for all attendees to have a day filled with learning, network and all the know hows of Trauma and Orthopaedics. Hii! I am third year medical student with a keen interest in ortho and other surgery specialities. I am very fond of conferences like these, as they enable to get a more hands on experience/ taste of the field. Hearing from experts on various aspects surrounding orthopaedic would only enlighten your knowledge further. It would also allow allow you to expand your network, making connections with people who share the same passion. If you are not sure or have not envisioned yourself doing orthopeadics, I would strongly suggested still building your portfolio with a ray of different specialties. Hope to see you all there 😉

As a year 3 medical student at UCLan, I am deeply passionate about innovation and collaboration. I am a part of the UCLan medical society and the Phase one teaching teaching society. I also lead Phase 2 students for events like the Health Mela, focusing on public health. My interest in surgery deepens in various different fields. As a strong believer in the idea that sharing perspectives fosters development, especially in a multidisciplinary field like medicine, I enjoy partaking in conferences, learning opportunities, networking events and others.
